Franco Abbina, of Spanish origin, before turning to acting he devoted himself to the study of Economics and music, in 1970 he participates in the General Dispute film directed by Luigi Zampa. In the early seventies he devoted himself to painting and simultaneously illustrations for a book of poetry of Alda Merini.Participates in a dozen movies directed by Federico Fellini, Vittorio De Sica, Luigi Magni, Mauro Bolognini, Luigi Zampa.
He collaborated with production designer Emanuele Luzzati.
